The Inland Empire Community Healthcare Initiative (IE-CHI) Rural Health Study Report aims to highlight the disparities in healthcare coverage as well as barriers to accessing healthcare within the six rural regions of both Riverside County and San Bernardino County.The 2018 Report identified 16 social determinants of health tracking resources and data in the six rural IE regions. In 2024, the rural health task force members determined it was appropriate to update the 2018 report with a “post-pandemic” lens. The rural health task force determined the end to review two additional social determinants of health, including Tele-health and Mental Health resources
The Task Force members included the following agencies: San Bernardino County Medical Society, The Symba Center, IEHP, CHAISR, Bear Valley Community Health District, Neighborhood Clinics, 211, Molina and Desert Healthcare District (DHCD).
