The IE-CHI is a collaboration of agencies and organizations (public and private) in the counties of Riverside and San Bernardino who support comprehensive children’s health insurance coverage and service. The IE-CHI is a member of the State collaborative: California Coverage Health Initiative (CCHI).

Mission Statement:
To ensure that all children and families in Riverside and San
Bernardino Counties have access to affordable, quality, culturally competent (cultural humility) health care.
Vision Statement:
The IE-CHI will be the Leader in the counties of San Bernardino and Riverside in implementing health coverage and utilization of services for all children and families

IE-CHI is funding by grants from Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), Molina Health Care, the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA), California Wellness Foundation, First 5-Riverside, First 5-SB, and CCHI
We provide:
- Support enrolling children/families into Medi-Cal and Covered California
- Collaboration in providing health services for children
- Advocacy to ensure comprehensive health coverage and services for all children/families
- Education about health coverage and services
- Grants to Community Partners
How we can help
The IE-CHI can provide legislators and other agencies the information, statistics, cost factors and compiling case studies to help make informed decisions regarding children’s health policies and service for their district and the state.

- Utilize the resources of the IE-CHI and its membership to stay educated on the issues and needs of the children and families in your district and the state.
- Support effective methods of ensuring children’s health coverage and services.
- Create bi-partisan policies, programs and adequate funding to ensure the quality of health for every child in your district and the state.
- Promote IE-CHI through education, collaborative efforts, and funding support.
